The European Certification of Informatics Professionals (EUCIP) is a pan-European qualification scheme for IT professionals, promoted by CEPIS, which is part of the widespread process of knowledge regulation and standardization in either work or educational environment.
The Master in e-Business has seen the development and application of EUCIP as an important step for the student training and assessment processes.
During the fist edition of the Master (Management Consulting and ERP) the EUCIP Core standard has been adopted with a “flat the knowledge” approach for supporting training and assessment processes of students with different backgrounds. Moreover the course contents have been defined taking into consideration the EUCIP Elective level specifications for those profiles which are close to the Master focus and objectives. These profiles are Business Analyst, Enterprise Solution Consultant, IS Analyst.
With the financial support of CINI, the Research Centre on Information Systems (CeRSI) of LUISS Guido Carli has carried out a study finalized to analyze and share the Master experience in the EUCIP adoption. This has been done by reporting data related to the EUCIP Core certification process of the Master students and by providing a detailed map of actual course contents with respect to the EUCIP Elective level profiles specifications.
