E-Business Organization

The course investigates organizations adopting Information Technologies as potential strategic weapons and accomplishes the following principal goals:

  • To outline strategic implications of recent technology trends
  • To present business and economic implications due to IT developments
  • To comprehend and analyze how Information Systems lead to competitive advantage
  • To evaluate which conditions and characteristics make IT-dependent competitive advantage sustainable
  • To analyze the execution of IT-dependent strategic initiatives
  • To understand risk and risk management issues in e-Business

In the pursuit of these objectives, we will examine the technology itself, the new competitive environment, opportunities and risks presented by the new competitive landscape, as well as analytical tools to support decisions concerning the strategic deployment of technology.
